Green Street Electric
I started Green Street Electric, after being in business for four years. My name is Jerome Olivier, and Green Street became my new baby. It officially became Green Street Electric after I became friends with a reputable solar installer in the state of Virginia.

FAMILY OWNED, AND WITH VALUES!
For now, I won’t go deep into solar, but (you can follow this link to learn more.) I will say this: solar, battery systems, and renewable energy reignited my purpose and passion for the electrical trade.
I was a SOLO Electrician
I worked as a solo electrician for most of the last four years. I found myself completing numerous remodels and additions. I wired several homes and buildings in downtown Richmond and completed many service upgrades.
Eventually, the workload became overwhelming. That’s when I started making friends with other electricians. We built strong relationships and were able to develop small crews that worked well together. I’m deeply thankful for those times. These electricians helped me through hard seasons, and they proved to be excellent tradesman and individuals.

Full time Electrician job
I became a full time electrician for a job. I am still doing that, while I manage and work for Green Street Electric. It’s what grew my passion for electrical.
While employed and running the business, I began to reimagine what my business. I wasn’t thinking just for myself, but also for the electricians and helpers who once helped me. I get phone calls from electricians looking to see if I have any jobs available, and I want to start telling them “yes”.
So I decided to not work as solo electrician anymore. Instead, I aim to bring up apprentices. That is what Green Street wants to build now.
That’s what I am best at-building people up, and teaching.
Our Mission
Our new mission:
To grow Green Street Electric into a tight-knit company of 3 to 4 crews. Not 10 or 15. Just enough to keep the quality personal and professional.
Everyone who works with me will be required to pursue formal apprenticeship and eventually become licensed. I believe strongly in experience and mentorship. And because of my experience, I know I can offer young electricians and apprentices an opportunity they’ve never had before.
I know that because I live it—day in, day out—with the work I do.
Thanks for choosing Green Street Electric.
